Nonnenmacher Acres

A master small farmer, Dave Nonnenmacher, is known all over Northeastern, PA for his unique varieties of sweet potatoes as well as being one of the only farmers in the region that grows yacon, a sweet South American tuber root. He's a wealth of knowledge for many farmers in the region and in addition, is well traveled too. Each year he and his wife, who is from Malaysia, travel to different parts of Asia in search of rare vegetable varieties to bring back and grow on their small 5 acre farm in Hawley, PA. Dave keeps only a handful of clients, a few restaurants and small grocers and sells out of just about all that he grows. Other fall crops he specializes in are antique apple varieties like Baldwin and Northern Spy as well as winter squash and rosemary.
