In my time as a farmer, my most favorite thing of all was having people you don’t know come up to you, asking for your opinion or wanting to tell you that they are thankful for your work. Sweet lord nothing is better than that.

Now technically speaking, if you are in the predicament that I was in, then here’s why bone broth is so essential. Our esophagus and stomach linings each have a micro-thin layer of calcium lining them. The calcium lining acts as a barrier between your digestive system and your blood. Bone broth and other animal foods have the vitamin D and calcium needed to maintain that lining. When those foods aren’t present over long periods of time, as was in my case, AND you are eating raw uncooked vegetables and juices by the hand and glassful, with your poor body starving for nutrients, that lining begins to break down and things such as gluten, sugar, industrial cooking oils, alcohol etc are going to permeate right through your gut and into your bloodstream, resulting in massive amounts of inflammation. And even if you are eating clean and free of the aforementioned food toxins, you are still at risk if you’re spread too thin like I was. Exhausted, sleep deprived, stressed and depressed- all of that is toxic too and your body will certainly react in the same way.
